Liver is the detoxifying factory of the body and has now become an overworked organ. This will lead to multiple liver disorders such as fatty liver, liver fibrosis, liver cirrhosis. Excess fat accumulation in the liver leads to a fatty liver disorder and this is the beginning of liver damage. Fibrosis occurs due to regular scarring in hepatic tissue and the blood vessels that surround it whereas cirrhosis is the last stage of liver damage, which is indicated by yellow eyes and the skin alongside with continuous dull aches of the abdomen. In Ayurveda all the Liver diseases are referred to as “Yakrit Vikara”. Ayurveda is an ancient science, which originated in India.
