Infertility refers to the biological inability of a person to contribute to conception. Infertility may refer to the state of a woman who is unable to carry the full term of pregnancy. Primary infertility is a type of infertility in which a couple never had a child. Secondary infertility is the failure to conceive following a previous pregnancy. The common signs of infertility are the hormonal imbalances. Other symptoms may include pre-menstrual syndrome, weight gain, anxiety, facial hair growth, fatigue, low sex drive, breast tenderness, nipple discharge, night sweats, insomnia, vaginal dryness, gallbladder problems etc. The signs of infertility need to be diagnosed as soon as possible.
Treatment of infertility depends on the cause, woman’s age and also the partner’s age. A woman can become pregnant with reproductive technology and other procedures to restore fertility. Treatment for men infertility may include general sexual problems, impotence or premature ejaculation. Lack of sperm is suspected as the cause of a man’s infertility and hormones can correct the problem. Treatment for women may include fertility drugs as the main treatment. These medications may induce ovulation and may work like natural hormones such as follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH). But the side-effects reported are serious and troublesome.
