Ayurvedic Treatment for Pseudomonas Aeruginosa
ABSTRACT
Currently, various types of bacteria are responsible for different diseases. One of them is Pseudomonas Aeruginosa. This bacterium which when entered into living things can occupy any place and can affect any organ. For these types of bacteria always Ayurvedic line of treatment is the best because, in the Modern system of medicine, antibiotics are used to treat but resistance to antibiotics is the natural property of this bacterium. INTRODUCTION
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a gram negative bacterium which can cause disease in animals, plants and humans too? This Agantuja Karna vitiates the Tridoshas in our body and gets localized in the throat area particularly in epiglottis and causes infection and develops swelling along with other symptoms.

The cause is clearly mentioned is a rod shaped, gram negative bacterium – Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
WHAT ARE THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF PSEUDOMONAS AERUGINOSA?
As discussed it can show its effects on the whole body but when it affects epiglottis, it will develop the following symptoms. These symptoms may appear after some days of infection.

- Redness
- Swollen cervical lymph nodes

- Difficulty in swallowing

1. Septrin Tablets
This is a potent medicine which contains the following herbs Guggul (Commiphora mukul), Haldi (Curcuma longa), Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), Sonth (Zingiber officinale), Pippali (Piper longum) and Maricha (Piper nigrum). These herbs have antibacterial and analgesic properties and have potency to kill the bacteria. They help to reduce the inflammation and infection of the throat.
Dosage: 2 tablets twice daily with normal water, after meals.
2. Arjun Saar
This liquid extract contains pure and standardized extract of herb Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna). It helps to flush out bacteria and cleanses the throat and reduces the localization of bacteria hence pacifies swelling and pain.
Method of use: This liquid is used to gargle by adding equal quantity of lukewarm water in it. It’s better to gargle two times a day regularly.
3. Acidoplan Syrup
This formulation of Planet Ayurveda is composed of Patol (Trichosanthes dioica), Ghrit kumari (Aloe barbadensis), Pitta papada (Fumaria indica), Triphala, etc. These herbs help to reduce vitiated Pitta and Vata dosha in the body hence manages acidity and other related issues.

4. Mahashankh Vati
This is a classical preparation which is used in various disorders of gastrointestinal tract. As epiglottis is also one of its parts, it helps to manage pain and gives a soothing effect in the throat and stomach. It also reduces infection.
Dosage: 2 tablets twice daily with normal water, after meals.
5. Kaas-har Churna
This herbal powder is effective enough in case of throat infections, cough cold and other respiratory problems. This preparation is made up of vanshlochan (Bambusa arundinacea), Pippali (Piper longum), Dalchini (Cinnamomum zeylanica), etc. These herbs help to curb the infections and inflammations even soothes the tract. Even these herbs help to boost the immunity level in our body.
Dosage – ½ spoon twice daily with lukewarm water after meals.

SOME USEFUL TIPS
- During infection you must take lukewarm water.
- Can also do gargles by adding salt.
- Avoid the use of sour and spicy foods.
- Also avoid milk products especially curd and buttermilk.
