EFFECTIVENESS OF RIFE MACHINES IN CANCER TREATMENT AND LIKE AYURVEDIC INTERVENTIONS

Abstract

The main aim of this paper is to highlight Rife machines in cancer treatment and the Ayurvedic aspect of dealing with cancer. Cancer is a common cause of death and pain worldwide. The need for stronger strategies is growing. Rife machines are popular in certain groups of population. They use electromagnetic frequency against the cancer cell. There might be a correlation of Sound therapy in ayurveda and electromagnetic or radio waves which are used for relief in cancer nowadays.

Introduction

An American scientist, Raymond Rife developed the Rife machine in the 1920’s. He was an American inventor well known for Microscopes and other Rife devices. A book was also published by Barry lynes “The cancer cure that worked” in 1987 which documents that rife had succeeded in helping cancer patients.

These machines generate low energy waves known as radio frequency electromagnetic fields. They usually deliver the low energy electrical energy from the hands or feet of the patients. There are claims that the machine destroys the cancer cells as their electric impulses from the machine acts on the cancer and not on normal cells. Cancer is a leading cause of deaths worldwide. The disease affects tissue level. The risk factors and underlying conditions are unhealthy lifestyle, alcohol, smoking, use of tobacco, unhealthy diet, obesity and some genetic factors. Recently we have seen improvements in the treatment and detection of cancer. People are getting more aware about the disease. It is basically the uncontrolled growth of the cells with the spread of these abnormal cells. Both the factors genetic and lifestyle changes, environmental factors somehow activate the genes which are responsible for cancer. It is the second most deadly disease after heart/cardiac anomalies responsible for deaths worldwide. Treatment options include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgeries, hormonal therapy and palliative care. These options and their use depend upon the location, type and stage of the cancer and the strength of the patient.

Ayurveda has also talked about cancer, granthi and Arbuda are similar to cancer conditions. In context to dosha it is a kapha pradhana condition but vata association is also there as the cancer is spreading to cells it cannot happen without the vata dosha. In ayurveda treatment principles include Diavavyaprasha (divine and Spiritual treatment) Sattvavajaya (Psychiatric treatment) and Yuktivyaprasaya (Rational therapy which is based on reasoning) -cha/su 11/54. The daivavyapashraya chikitsa includes mantra chanting, medicine, wearing gems and other offerings to the gods, chanting of auspicious hymns. “Mantra” means – who can control the mind. It can be used as a tool to control the mind and mind plays a main role in managing the progression and treatment of diseases. Music therapy is also used in ayurveda. The raga has effects on various doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) which can be controlled by the music therapy. Which is also used by many physicians around the world to help in the treatment of cancer.

Rife Machine

The logic behind the mechanism is that the cells have charged molecules that can respond to the electrical fields created by the Refi – machine. Some studies have found that this also stops the cancer cells from growing and stops the growth of the tumor. The side effects or risk reported were minimal. Some studies have found that there is reduction in the size of the tumor of liver, Femur, adrenal glands and lungs. Some in vitro studies have demonstrated that there can be tumor specific frequencies for blocking the growth of tumor cells and they can be tumor specified. These tumor specific frequencies eliminate the harmful microorganisms and the malignant cells. It is a non-invasive method and effective way to counter the cells without puncturing the skin. The original Reif machines used a plasma tube which uses electromagnetic frequency. These are specific sound frequencies and the frequencies that resonate with the cancer cells the vibrational disruption of the specific cells does the destruction of the cells by the vibrations induced to the cancer cells. There are electrical pads which are placed onto the feets and the hands of the patient. Patient is told to hold the plasma tubes all these are connected to a Rife machine which is set to a certain electromagnetic frequency for specific types of cancer cells in different cancers. It is a drug free treatment.

As mentioned in Charak samhita’s sutrasthana about the daiva vyapashraya chikitsa which says about the use of sounds for the purpose of treatment of various diseases.

It has been found that the use of ragas and sounds in different frequencies has some effect on the doshas i.e vata, pitta and kapha.
