1. Manjishtha (Rubia cordifolia)
Manjishtha is also known as rakta, gouri, rohini, and tamra moola, etc. Manjishtha is hot in potency and its taste is kshaya, tikta and madhura. It is useful in pacifying the excessive levels of kapha and pitta dosha in the body. It is an anti-inflammatory agent, heals wounds and is very amazing for skin diseases. Manjishtha is a hemostatic agent and is useful in managing various types of blood disorders, rakta pitta, skin disorders, and ulcers, etc. It is also known to improve various health conditions such as skin disorders with pigmentation, weakness, general debility and poisoning.
2. Pitpapda (Fumaria officinalis)
Pitpapda is also known as parpat, atisaraha, varmakantak, and kavacha, etc. It is cool in potency and tikta in taste.
